Tommy Barbour
Tommy began his quest to becoming an improviser with DSI in September, 2005.
He is originally from Burlington, North Carolina, but grew up in the beautiful city of Asheville in the mountains of NC. Close family ties brought him back to the Burlington area where he currently resides.
Tommy obtained his Web Development Diploma from ECPI: College of Technology in Greensboro, NC in 2002. He is currently the Head of Web Development for The Times-News in Burlington.
He is an avid live and online poker player, having rubbed elbows with some of poker's best including Scott Fischman and Chris Moneymaker.
He is also pretty darn good at Tennis and Dance Dance Revolution.
Tommy has studied under improv legends such as: Zach Ward, Ross White, Scott Jennings, Austin Nava, and Corey Brown. He has workshopped with Joe Bill (BASSprov), Dan Sipp (IO South), Brainne Edge (ComedySportz UK) , Myles Nye (ComedySportz Los Angeles), and Ryan Blackledge (ComedySportz New Orleans & Chapel Hill.)
Tommy is a member of the DSI ComedySportz ensemble where he serves as Team Captain, Player, and Mr. Voice.
He is a member of the CageMatch teams Night of the Living Improv and BALD. He was also a member of Cagematch Champions, Hostile Takeover.
Tommy can also be seen as "Tommy Dynamite" in CAGEMATCH.
