Ted Hobgood

Ted Hobgood has performed with Matt and Jeff Hardy, "The Prince of Punk" Shannon Moore, and Chief Wahoo McDaniel. Before joining Dirty South Improv, he was a professional wrestling announcer and commentator from 1992 to 1999 for the East Coast Wrestling Federation, New Frontier Wrestling Alliance, and OMEGA, among others. He has also been the voice of a number of radio station formats, from alternative rock to news to "your easy and relaxing favourites."

In addition to his off-the-cuff experience in announcing, Ted has studied improv with Ross White, Zach Ward, Scott Jennings, and Corey Brown. He is currently performing as Mr. Voice in ComedySportz and as Scott Sullivan in CageMatch. He has also directed Match Game, where he performed both as "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Ross White.

Ted was born and raised in lovely Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and then fled to Ohio for seven years to pick up degrees from Oberlin College and Bowling Green State University. He holds a Master's degree in the odd but somehow useful subject of Popular Culture.
