Matt Lyles

Matt is a graduate of Indiana University with degrees in theatre and journalism, where he was a member of the comedy troupe Midnight Snack Comedy. He started performing with the group in 2010 and continued until he graduated. He was heavily involved in radio, writing and producing news features for American Student Radio and hosting the weekly Metal for the Masses on the campus station WIUX. He also appeared in two premiere plays as a part of Starrynight Productions' INPlay Festival, which ran in Bloomington and Indianapolis.

He was born and raised in Raleigh and has been involved, both onstage and backstage, with a number of theatre companies in the area including The Justice Theater Project, Raleigh Little Theatre, and Burning Coal Theatre. He is a product of the acclaimed drama department at Cardinal Gibbons High School and continues to work with the program's current students.

He first came to DSI in the summer of 2011 and has studied under Harrison Brookie, Katy Jack, Paula Pazderka, and Vinny Valdivia. HE currently performs with Improv SLAM and Deputy Dan.
