Kim Andrews
Kim Andrews has been performing comedy at DSI Comedy Theater since September 2009. Kim began studying comedy as a dedicated viewer of Saturday Night Live and the Carol Burnett Show! Hoping to be like Jane Curtin or Carol Burnett, Kim began classes with some of DSI's masters including: Zach Ward, Paula Pazderka and Kit FitzSimons. Kim also enjoyed studying with Kevin Patrick Robbins, Eric Hunicutt and Jeff Griggs during the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. Kim is presently performing with the IMPROV SLAM ensemble and Harold team KID LINCOLN.
When Kim is not doing comedy, she earns her keep by designing training and online learning. Kim is also spreading the gospel of comedy as a partner in DSI COMMUNICATION, which spins improv and comedy into non-traditional organizational development and communication training programs. Kim holds BS and MEd degrees in Educational Psychology and began her career as a classroom teacher.
Originally from Detroit, Kim lives in Durham with her husband, Steve, and when WCU is not in-session, her daughter, Erin. Kim's other daughter, Heather, has grown and left the nest.
