Jason Scott Quinn
Jason Scott Quinn is an instructor with the DSI Comedy Theater
Jason can be seen performing on Friday nights with MISTER DIPLOMAT. Other DSI credits include Baby Liberty, Room 158, Take the Box!, ComedySportz, and Match Game.
He received his improv training at New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. His teachers have included Armando Diaz, Jamie Denbo, Billy Merritt, Kevin Mullaney, and Ali Farhanakian. He has taken classes at DSI from Ross White, Zach Ward, and Scott Jennings.
Jason has performed improv shows throughout the city of New York and the gulf coast of Florida. Jason has taught long form classes/workshops at Florida Studio Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, and the University of South Florida. Jason currently teaches classes for the DSI Training Center.
A proud member of both the Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild, Jason’s stage work includes Leave it To Jane, Macbeth, and Our Town (Circle in the Square, NYC), Henry IV parts 1 and 2 (Gorilla Rep., NYC), The Ruins (Sun and Splendor, NYC), Twelfth Night (Kraine Theatre, NYC), The Boys Next Door, Scapino, Biloxi Blues, and Fools (Florida Repertory Theatre, Fort Myers), Metamorphoses, School House Rock, and Love’s Labour’s Lost (American Stage, St. Petersburg), The Boys Next Door (Palm Beach Dramaworks, West Palm Beach), The Jungle Book (Mill Mountain Theatre, Roanoke), and Oklahoma (Ohio Outdoor Historical Drama Association, New Philadelphia). He appeared in the independent film The Bros. and on One Tree Hill. Jason also has appeared in commercials and industrials including projects for Outback, Time Warner, YMCA, RJ Reynolds, Famous Dave's BBQ, and Travelocity.
Jason has a BA in Theatre Arts from The University of South Florida, an MA in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and is a graduate of The Circle in the Square Theatre School. Jason is beginning work on his MFA in Acting from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
He lives in Greensboro with his wife, Emily, who is a modern dancer and their dog, Shyla.
