David Siegel
David started improvising when he enrolled in the first class offered by Dirty South Improv in early 2003 and had the honor of training under Ross White, Scott Jennings and Zach Ward. He went on to perform in numerous DSI projects including a two-year tenure with MISTER DIPLOMAT and a run of Cagematch shows with his brother and member of the Chapel Hill Players, Dan Siegel. Together, "Siegel-prov" holds the record for DSI Cagematch victories.
David is currently living in New York City, where he studies at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre and works as a case manager at the Red Hook Community Justice Center in Brooklyn. He resumes his training at UCB after studying with James Eason (Mother) and UCB Artistic Director Anthony King while working at "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" in the summer of 2004.
A native of Durham, North Carolina, David attended UNC-Chapel Hill, earning a bachelor's degree in political science. At Carolina, he spent 2 years performing with the campus-based Chapel Hill Players (CHiPs), serving a term as Director.
He enjoys tennis, C-SPAN and exaggerating his slight southern accent. He also continues to mourn the loss of the late Steve Erwin.
