Colette Henderson is an instructor with the DSI Comedy Theater

Colette Henderson grew up loving comedy and is delighted to be onstage creating her own. Born in Boston, she grew up in Chapel Hill. From age 8 through high school, she was a competetive horseback rider and taught riding at Springforth Farm in Durham. After a year in the wilds of Virginia (University of Mary Washington), she's glad to be back in Chapel Hill, and is planning to pursue an education degree from UNC in the Fall.

She began her improv studies in the summer of 2005 with Zach Ward, and has since studied with Jeremy Griffin and Austin Nava, and workshopped with Joe Bill, Rene Duquesnoy, and Anthony King. She was part of the spectacular but short-lived CageMatch team Southern Cross. Currently, she is a ComedySportz regular and a proud member of DSI's recently formed all-girl ensemble, Elaine. This summer, she plans to teach Comedy Camps to children at Carolina Friends School, which she is very excited about.

Colette performs with House team Elaine and House team Match Game.
Colette is a cast member of ComedySportz.
