DSI Named Business of the Year

Excerpt from the Chamber Award:

The Business Newcomer Award was presented to an outstanding Chamber member business less than three years old, which has shown innovation in its field, creativity in its start up, likelihood of long-term success and contribution to the community. DSI Comedy Theater received the award for 2006. In the past year, DSI has both expanded its Comedy Training Center and opened its first performance space - DSI Comedy Theater in Historic Carr Mill Mall. In addition to providing a home for almost 50 artists, DSI Comedy Theater has educated over 200 new students in the art of improvisation this year alone and has entertained over 3000 audience members since its opening. [They also host the South’s largest comedy festival each February in Carrboro.]

We are incredibly proud to be named Business Newcomer of the Year. The local DSI company works hard to produce some of the best comedy in the country right here in Carrboro, North Carolina.
