DSI has been introducing North Carolina students of all ages to the Art of Comedy since 2003. As the leading Training Center for comedy in the Southeast, DSI has exposed over 600 students to its philosophy on improvisation and comedy performance.

Artistic Director and Founder Zach Ward has toured the country teaching the DSI curriculum and has most recently been hired to teach for the UNC Chapel Hill Professional Actors Program.

DSI faculty are proud to introduce another development with the DSI Sketch Comedy program. The first sketch class offered this September taught by MISTER DIPLOMAT cast member Paula Pazderka.

Sundays at 4:00pm, starting Sept 14th.

SKETCH 101 covers writing exercises that explore different structures and sketch formats, while introducing students to the DSI philosophy on game of the scene and sketch comedy. Students develop an understanding of how-to approach and write sketch comedy and can expect to leave class with a portfolio of writing samples.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

You just need to want to write and learn to write sketch comedy.
