2013 Summer Comedy Camps

DSI Comedy Theater has been teaching improv Summer Camps across the Triangle for over 10 years. Our camp instructors have taught locally at Carolina Friends School, The ArtsCenter, Voyager Academy and our own theater located in Downtown Carrboro. Our Comedy Camp curriculums are designed by Zach Ward.

DSI camps are split based on Age: COMEDY CAMP 101 (Ages 8-10), COMEDY CAMP 201 (Ages 10-13), and COMEDY CAMP 301 (Ages 13-17). We do not split camps based on student experience, so your child can register for a specific level as long as they fit the required age by Friday June 1, 2013. We are offering 6 camps for Summer 2013. Our camps are small enough that every student gets personal feedback.

DSI classes will help students: Improve verbal ability; Enhance active listening skills; Build body awareness and Boost self-confidence. Improvisation can have a positive impact on students both on- and off-stage. By learning performance games in a safe environment, DSI students are encouraged to take risks and they develop the ability to both tell stories collaboratively and work in the moment.

New "Sibling Rate" ($170) when at least 2 campers register TOGETHER for the same camp week (NOTE: Rate can apply to siblings or friends but registration and payment must come from one buyer for the discounted rate.)
