For those with little or no experience who would like to film a sketch, short, music video or web series, this workshop will cover what you should do to make the best content possible, and avoiding common mistakes and pitfalls.

This workshop will run 2 1/2 hours.

Paul Thomas

Paul Thomas has performed his critically acclaimed solo sketch show Comedogenic at the New York Sketch Comedy Festival, Chicago Sketchfest, SketchfestNYC, the Public House Theater, iO Chicago, and the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival.

In October he made his network TV debut as Big John on Chicago Fire on NBC. He also likes to make short films, or as people with film degrees call them, "videos." His epic web series Ped Crossing, based on one of his solo sketches, was featured in The Onion AV Club. Some of other his work has screened at the Just for Laughs Festivals in Montreal and Chicago, the L.A. Comedy Shorts Festival, and the Chicago Comedy Film Festival, amongst others.

Paul is a stand-up comic as well, and is a cast member of Chicago Underground Comedy. In May he opened for Cristela Alonzo and also SNL's Sasheer Zamata at the Limestone Comedy Festival.
