Zannie Gunn

Zannie is pleased to be a part of the vibrant Carrboro comedy scene. She began her training with the Dirty South Improv company in the Fall of 2005. She has studied under some of the original DSI masters of improv: Ross White, Zach Ward, and Scott Jennings. Zannie was a member of the long form teams: Baby Liberty, Betty, That Certain Female, and Close Quarters. She is presently performing on Comedy Sportz and the all female team, Elaine.

When Zannie is not onstage, she is a graphic designer for the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina. She is an artist as well, and has had many well-received exhibits in the triangle and Chicago area. She studied at North Carolina State University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She looks forward to performing improv for audiences all over Carrboro and beyond.

Zannie was a wonderful teacher! The lessons and concepts were presented in a manor that is both engaging and informative. Every week I found the course work challenging, but the environment was encouraging and promoted strong self-confidence.
